One of the most anticipated handsets of the moment - the HTC G1, and being touted as the Googlephone.

Why the hype ? Well, it's the first smartphone to operate on the new Android platform that's linux based and is part of an open-source initiative that has thousands of developers working on different applications that an Android phone can use.
